A manda received her undergraduate degree in Health Sciences and her doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from Nova Southeastern University- Tampa. Amanda has always had a passion for working with children and her professional interests include sensory integration and mental health.  Amanda was trained in California on sensory integration techniques and she continues to focus her education on sensory-based interventions. She completed her doctoral residency at Therapy West, Inc in Los Angeles, California where she helped develop and implement an OT group program with a mental health perspective for students in middle/high school and young children in first grade who were struggling behaviorally and academically in the classroom. Amanda‘s focus is on a family-centered approach, looking to build therapeutic relationships with both her clients and their families. She is excited to be a part of the interplay team and continue to expand on her knowledge of sensory integration as it relates to participation in functional occupations.

We have been a part of the InterPlay family since our three children, who all have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder began receiving therapy over 3 years ago. They embraced our children right from the start and took on the challenge of meeting their varying occupational needs. Using patience, persistence and creativity, the staff helped each of our children develop (and continue to develop) the skills they desperately needed to be successful in school and in life. The staff has been wonderful not only to our children but to us, the parents as well. They have worked with us and provided flexibility with insurance issues, scheduling, and personal needs. They truly care about the progress of our children. We feel so fortunate to have found a center that provides both excellent therapy and genuine care in the service they provide to our family.
