Deanna Walker, MOTR/ L
Deanna joined the InterPlay team as a student in August 2019. After completing her coursework and earning her certification and licensure, she joined InterPlay full-time in January 2020. Deanna received her Masters of Occupational Therapy from Nova Southeastern University and her Bachelors of Health Science from the University of Florida.
Deanna has always had a passion for working with children, whether it was babysitting, being a camp counselor, assisting with the younger students at her ballet studio, or volunteering with multiple pediatric organizations throughout her schooling—she always found it most rewarding working with the pediatric community. She loves now having the opportunity to work with children everyday as an occupational therapist, getting to focus on the child’s occupation of “play” in order to promote confidence, emotional-regulation, independence, new skills, and much more, all while having FUN!
She loves seeing the smile on her clients’ faces when they accomplish their goals! Deanna is eager to expand her knowledge in pediatric occupational therapy and to work towards her certification in Sensory Integration, while being a member of the InterPlay family.
